Luxury Vinyl Tiles – Also known as LVT

  • Made to look like real stone or ceramic tiles
  • Waterproof
  • Scratch and scuff resistant
  • Can be installed over existing floors
  • Can be installed over radiant heat
  • Can be installed with or without grout
  • Good in kitchens, basements, mudrooms
  • More durable than ceramic tiles
  • Faster install than natural stone or ceramic tile
  • Warmer than natural stone or ceramic tile
  • Absorbs sound better
  • Protected by a wear layer – design will not disappear
  • Easy to clean – mopping, sweeping. Vacuuming (beater brush not recommended)

Luxury Vinyl Planks – also known as LVP

   

  • Made to look like real hardwood
  • Can look like scraped or embossed hardwood
  • Can be laid on the diagonal or brick pattern
  • Known for its warmth and comfort
  • Works well in high performance/ traffic areas
  • Can be installed anywhere – even in moisture prone areas
  • Can be installed over most floors – less to spend on take up
  • Insulation and sounddeadning
  • Lower end versions are water resistant
  • Higher end versions are water proof
  • Interlocking or glue down
  • Easy repairs – pop out the damaged planks

Engineered Vinyl Planks – also known as EVP

  • Starts at 8mm thickness
  • Click or glue down installation
  • Lower grades planks are water resistant
  • Higher end planks are water proof
  • Made to look like engineered wood or laminate
  • Less expensive than most engineered woods and laminates
  • Can be installed over most floors
  • Less expensive – no take up
  • Thinner than engineered wood and laminate – can fit in kitchens where cabinets are already installed
  • Insulation and sound absorbing
  • Easy to repair – planks pop out
